A0117 : American Belleek Ceramic Art Company vase Ceramic Art Company $250.00
Category : Pottery and Porcelain
Sub Categories : Belleek, American, CAC
The Ceramic Art Company latter became Lenox . The vase has the lavender CAC Belleek mark (1889-1906). It is 7 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" wide with a reticulated design around the rim and heavy gold painted owl and tree branch decoration. The quality of the art work would enforce the belief that this mark indicates factory decorated. There is a very faint (almost not visable) hairline crack above the blue base that goes in a circular path up to the owl and into the tree branch. The hairline can not be felt and could easily be missed by a casual observer. A vase with this shape and size can be found in the book "Collecting American Belleek" by Loman and Petula Eng on page 84, plates 153-4.

B0169 : Irish Belleek, unpainted, flowered, Shamrock basket Belleek $275.00
Category : Pottery and Porcelain
Sub Categories : Belleek, Irish, Basket
The basket is 4 strand, marked “Belleek”, “CO FERMANAUGH”, “IRELAND”. It appears to have a 2 pad mark but is most likely a three pad mark with the first two pads overlapping making it look like one pad. This would then date the basket to be made from 1921 to 1954. Please excuse the photo of the pad mark. Because the pad has been put on over the basket weave, it leaves a wavy surface that is makes it impossible to get an entirely readable pad mark with a camera.

This 19th century, 11 1/4" tall bottle shows some, but very few, extremely minor ware upon very close inspection. Ihave shown the two largest examples in the photos. They are tiny pin pricks of missing enamel. Some of the wiring used to make the designs can be felt if you rub your hand around the bottles you would feel on all pieces of this type of cloisonne'. A cylinder shapped brush bottle is the most commonly found Totia. They are often more subdued coloring and with less decoration. There are signature marks on the bottom(see photos) but I have not deciphered them.

  P4240 : nine Lenox twins Lenox $1,400.00
Category : Pottery and Porcelain
Sub Categories : Figurine, American
Lenox twins were made in the 1940 - 1950’s. Initially they all were made as girls. Later they added a boy. Twins tend to be handed down from generation to generation. Hence twins are difficult to find. Girls are more commonly found. In fact, I have not seen a boy for sale in almost forty years. Twins are often found in damaged condition. Damages are mostly in the apron, pigtails, and head. “Professionally” repaired twins sell for about forty to fifty percent less than undamaged ones. Price shown is for all nine twins.
